WHICH SERVICE DO I NEED
What does my air conditioning need?
That depends on how dirty it is. Three things tell you the most: when it last had a service, what you see when you look inside, and where it's installed.

THE LAST SERVICE
When did your system last have a service?
That's the first clue. It's only an indication, though: what the technician finds inside is what counts.
| Last professional service | First indication |
|---|---|
| Less than a year ago | Professional Air Conditioning Service or an intensive clean |
| One to two years ago | Intensive Air Conditioning Clean |
| More than two years ago | Specialist Deep Clean |
| Never | Specialist Deep Clean |
| I don't know | Then we'll take a look first |
TAKE A LOOK
Shine a torch inside
Switch the system off and shine a torch into the air outlet. Look for dust, a lot of dirt or dark build-up inside the unit or on the fan.
If you see a lot of dust or dark build-up, it needs more than a regular service.
Don't put your hands or anything else inside: just look, and take a photo if you like.

ALSO IMPORTANT
Where it's installed and what you notice
If your system is in a kitchen, a restaurant or café, a salon, a workshop, a smoking room or another dusty space, it can get dirtier, faster. Mention it, and the technician will take it into account.
If it smells musty, blows less air or you can see dirt, it's dirty inside. A regular service usually sorts out a musty smell; if the dirt goes deeper, it needs an intensive clean or a deep clean.
Do you have a cassette unit in the ceiling? There are three separate treatments for those.
QUESTIONS
What people often ask
Question not answered here? Ask Fris, or call us on weekdays.
Call 023 785 50 29What if I don't know?
Then we'll take a look first. Answer a few questions about your system, or give us a call. If we can't tell from a distance, the technician will look at it at your home.
How often does my air conditioning need a service?
Once a year. If you cool and heat with it all year round, twice a year can make sense, and the technician will tell you at the first service.
Is air conditioning maintenance required by law?
No, there's no legal maintenance requirement for an ordinary air conditioning system at home. The only recurring legal duty is a leak check, and that only applies once the refrigerant adds up to 5 tonnes of CO2 equivalent (Article 5, Regulation (EU) 2024/573); a split system with about 1 kilo of R32 refrigerant comes to 0.675 tonnes, well below that.
Do you service my brand?
Very likely. We service all the common brands, such as Mitsubishi Heavy Industries, Mitsubishi Electric, Daikin, LG, Panasonic, Toshiba, Samsung and Haier, even if another company installed your system.
Still not sure?
Answer a few questions about your air conditioning, and we'll tell you which treatment it needs and what it costs.
