CASSETTE UNITS

Servicing cassette units in the ceiling

A cassette unit is built into the ceiling and needs different work from a wall unit. That's why there are three separate treatments for cassettes, each with its own tasks and prices.

WHY SEPARATE

A cassette needs different work from a wall unit

A cassette unit has a panel with outlet louvres and often a pump that drains the condensation. That means different work. So we don't treat a cassette as a wall unit with a surcharge, but as a separate category, with its own treatments and prices.

Just like a wall unit, the treatment depends on how dirty it is: a regular service, an intensive clean or a deep clean. For a wall unit, everything is on the Servicing and cleaning page.

More cassettes or wall units too? If you have more than one cassette unit, or wall units as well, we'll work out what it all costs together. If a cassette is very hard to reach or unusually dirty, the technician first looks at what's needed.

Which treatment does my cassette need?

That depends on how dirty it is. When did it last have a professional service? The longer ago, the more thorough the treatment it needs. Not sure? Then we'll take a look first.

What's the difference between the three treatments?

In a service the technician cleans the filters, the outside of the panel, the outlet louvres and the evaporator, and checks the condensation drain and the pump. In an intensive clean the panel comes off where needed and they clean the evaporator, the fan, the condensation tray, the drain and the pump. In a deep clean they take the unit further apart and use professional WIPCOOL equipment: steam, pulse, rinsing and ozone, depending on the dirt.

Can I book it as a one-off?

Yes. As a one-off, the Professional Cassette Service costs €245. With a plan you pay less and get priority if your system breaks down.

Do you service my brand?

Very likely. We service all the common brands, such as Mitsubishi Heavy Industries, Mitsubishi Electric, Daikin, LG, Panasonic, Toshiba, Samsung and Haier, even if another company installed your system.

What does your cassette need?

Answer a few questions about your air conditioning, and we'll tell you which treatment it needs and what it costs.
