Air conditioning servicing in a listed building

Before Airco Holland, Rein and Peter ran a building company, with projects that even included canal houses in Amsterdam. They know how to work in a house where you don't want to damage anything.

WHAT'S DIFFERENT

Out of sight, and not always easy to reach

In a listed building the air conditioning is often tucked away: an indoor unit in the attic or loft, an outdoor unit on a flat roof or behind a parapet. The service itself is the same; the work around it takes more care. The technician protects the area they work in and looks after floors, stairs and facades.

Tell us beforehand where the system is and how we can reach it. If we need a cherry picker or scaffolding to reach the outdoor unit, we agree that in advance. Those costs are extra.

NEW OR RELOCATED

A new air conditioner in a listed building

Servicing an existing system doesn't change anything about the building. If you want a new system, or an outdoor unit in a different place, a listed building may need a permit. Airco Holland can help you with that.

WATER BELONGS IN THE DRAIN

No leaks into old ceilings

A blocked condensation drain is the best-known cause of air conditioning leaking water. In a building with old ceilings and plasterwork, you want to stay ahead of that.

At every service the technician checks the condensation drain, and in an intensive clean they clean it too. Leaking already? Read what to do right away.

Can air conditioning in a listed building simply be serviced?

Yes. Servicing an existing system doesn't change anything about the building. A new system, or moving the outdoor unit, may need a permit.

Do you come for a unit in the attic or on the roof?

Yes. Tell us beforehand where it is and how we can reach it. If we need a cherry picker or scaffolding, we agree that in advance; those costs are extra.

How often does it need a service?

Once a year. If you cool and heat with it all year round, twice a year can make sense, and the technician will tell you at the first service.

Do you service my brand?

Very likely. We service all the common brands, such as Mitsubishi Heavy Industries, Mitsubishi Electric, Daikin, LG, Panasonic, Toshiba, Samsung and Haier, even if another company installed your system.

Tell us where your system is

Which brand, how many indoor units and where they are. We'll tell you which treatment it needs and what it costs.
